I get asked all the time, " What is Ceremonial Breathwork?" and I am going to explain my work in a minute. First off, I hold my ceremonial spaces in the spirit of Shamanism; I work with shamanic technologies to anchor and support frequencies and energies, as well as protect a space where a collective is coming together with a higher intention and prayer.

The truth of it is - what I am doing would technically be called Shamanic Breathwork, but I cannot use that language because the term is trademarked in the US in connection with a particular modality and school; however, shamanism and the act of working shamanically with the breath have been here since the beginning. The relationship between breath, ceremony, Spirit, and earth-based practices long predates any modern breathwork modality or school. In fact, the word 'Shaman' traces back to the Tungus tribe in Siberia. At the end of the day, all peoples are peoples of the earth, and regardless of your culture and bloodline, the root of every lineage on the planet comes back to an earth-based people - and we are just so disconnected, we have forgotten.

A long-winded way of me saying, I cannot publicly state that I am shamanic in my breathwork spaces as I must walk the legalities of the 3D realm.

As a multidimensional medicine woman, as a Shamanic Practitioner and Breathwork Practitioner, I hold my breathwork spaces ceremoniously with shamanic technology.

What does that mean?

I work with prayer as a technology to open the four directions and a portal to support us for the ceremony. My prayer is from the South, and so I walk in that way.

On top of creating an ethical breathwork space with my team for our community to breathe in, I work with the energy of the collective field of the ceremony. I track energies; I move them often with sound and sacred tools. I channel codes and frequencies through my being to support the collective in the breath, and I maintain a pure channel and clear portal for my clients to be supported by. I literally hold the portal for them to journey and support the collective of breathers while my team and I also support them individually from a traditional breathwork perspective.

When the breathwork is complete, I close the prayer, and I close the portal. We close the ceremony so that Integration can begin.

I serve the breath as a medicine, for it is the first medicine we receive on this path, literally as we are born.

Why my ceremonies are different

Because it is my medicine.

Because only I am Rebecca, Maria the Ancient One. Because only I am the Cosmic Jaguar and the White Deer.

And this is something I teach my own students: you have to discover your medicine. You cannot take my voice or simply replicate my structure and call it your medicine.

I can teach someone how I understand ceremony. I can share the technologies, practices and teachings that have been given to me. I can teach someone to listen, to track, to pray, to work with the field and to develop their own relationship with Spirit.

But I cannot give someone my medicine.

People do sometimes take another person's offerings and attempt to duplicate their ceremonies, rather than doing the deeper work of discovering what is authentically theirs to carry. And when we imitate medicine that hasn't come through our own relationship, embodiment, and walk, I believe we risk creating distortion in the field.

My ceremonies came through me. They were shown to me by Spirit through how I was being asked to walk and serve, and they have evolved as I have evolved.

My Ceremonies are my medicine.

And only I walk in the vibration of Rebecca. The Ceremonies I hold are for those who are ready to step into a space of deep remembering through the medicine of breath. Everything is possible when we breathe together in these ceremonial spaces. You get to decide the pace and the depth of your journey.

A ceremonial breathwork is held in a sacred scaffolding. It is honoured with a deep sacred reverence energetically held in the highest integrity. For me, anything less would not be ceremony. Anything inauthentic or in the spirit of imitation is a distorted field that the Breathwork facilitator is setting, most likely unconsciously. You don't know what you don't know.

My teacher taught me years ago that life is the ceremony; therefore, it does not feel respectful or in right relation for me to serve my breathwork without it.
