Reader,
Before I became a breathwork trainer and stepped in as a medicine woman, I spent fifteen years in fundraising and development.
I raised funds for organizations whose work centred on financial support and education. And in that time, I witnessed something that has never left me.
A small gift, given at the right moment, can change the entire trajectory of a person's life.
Not a grand gesture or a life-changing sum. Sometimes something modest like a bursary, a scholarship, a single investment made at the exact moment someone needed it can be when everything opens. Doors that had been closed became passable, and people stepped into versions of themselves that might otherwise have remained out of reach.
I carry that into everything I do here.
Because I have met people who felt genuinely called to breathwork; called to the medicine, called to serve, called to step into a training that would change the trajectory of their life, who paused at the threshold not because they weren't ready and not because the timing wasn't right, but because the financial investment felt out of reach.
That pause breaks my heart every time.
The call does not come with a financial prerequisite. The breath does not choose people based on their bank account. And a training that exists to develop facilitators who will go out and serve their communities should itself be accessible to the communities it hopes to reach.
These scholarships are not a gesture. They are not a marketing strategy. I want you to know that they exist because I personally believe in removing barriers for those who are genuinely called and because I have seen firsthand what happens when someone receives support at exactly the right moment. This commitment to accessibility is not mine alone, as it is woven into the founding ethos of Seven Directions Breathwork, whose values include a deep recognition of global economic disparities, systemic barriers, and the responsibility of those who hold this work to hold it with equity and care.
This is giving back, plain and simple.
Here is what is available for our November 2026 cohort:
Global Majority Scholarship
For those who identify as part of the Global Majority and/or BIPOC community and experience systemic barriers to access. Offered at a 50% reduction in training fees, in recognition of the historical injustices and ongoing systemic inequities that shape economic access and in our commitment to building a breathwork community that genuinely reflects the world we live in.
Financial Aid
For those experiencing financial constraints who do not identify within the Global Majority scholarship criteria. A limited number of reduced-fee spaces are available with a $1,030 CAD reduction in tuition.
Finlay's Voice Scholarship
This one is closest to my heart.
This scholarship honours Finlay. Finlay is a young boy who lost his breath in 2024. His mother Hazel found her way to breathwork to support herself through that grief, and she became one of our 2025 graduates. In his memory, this scholarship is offered to mothers and archetypal mothers; nurturers and protectors who have walked through illness or the loss of a loved one and are finding their way home to themselves.
If you feel called to apply for this scholarship, I ask only that you take a moment to sit with Finlay's story before you do.
All scholarship spaces are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. I ask, with genuine trust, that you choose the pathway that most honestly reflects your current reality. These offerings exist because we believe in access. They work because our community honours them with integrity.
Over the last three years, Divine Roots has offered 12 scholarships to support our incredible graduates.
If finances have been part of what has kept you at the threshold, please reach out. I would rather have a conversation than have you quietly talk yourself out of something you are genuinely called to.
The door is open for you and we have made it as wide as we know how.
x Rebecca
